July 14 2008 - Writing for the Web

Writing for the web is increasingly in demand, which means our July meeting should prove incredibly useful. Susannah Ross, our July speaker is the author of the Desktop Guide to Writing for the Web (Chambers 2007) and A Simple Guide to Writing for your Website (Pearson Education 2001). She was a BBC journalist for twenty years, working as a desk editor and as a correspondent in Portugal, southern Africa and South America. She has run the BBC Training's Web writing courses for the past ten years. She has written online training modules for journalists and photojournalists. After leaving the BBC World Service News in 1994, Susannah trained British and foreign journalists in London. Her broadcasting training work has taken her to Poland, Georgia, Russia, Bahrain, India and Thailand.
